MMTD Takes on Two
A second birthday for the blog.
Somehow it’s summertime again, and with it brings Meet Me There Darling’s second birthday celebrations.
While it feels like just yesterday that we gingerly uploaded our reel of CBK and JFK Jr. (are you surprised?), two whole years have passed and much has changed. There was no real plan or blueprint when I started the original Instagram page, yet MMTD has taken on its own shape and story rather naturally. Two years later, it is the individuals that interact with it that has made it what it is now.

It’s been a wonderful past year of collaboration and for that we couldn’t be more grateful. Last summer was our first foray into the brand / partnership world, kicking it off last July with our very first collab with none other than Brit beloved Crew Clothing. I’ll never forget the excitement of getting home from work to a very chunky brown parcel sitting in the kitchen. Our very first piece of PR - thank you Crew!

Since then, it’s been an honour to partner with a real variety of companies and products - from Fudge Kitchen’s tasty treats & Intelligent Change’s Five Minute Journal to Hicks and Brown’s Suffolk fedora, a Princess of Wales’ personal pick, & Läderach’s Mother’s Day chocolate collection. Each brand reflects the style notes and overall air at the heart of MMTD, staying true to the classic air we have tried to cultivate since the very beginning.

We’ve had such fun interviewing with Pinky the Landy and Cornwell Manor & contributing to the fine outlets of Swish Magazine and Ivy Style on (of course) Kennedy style. The Christmas holidays past saw our first festive card sent to our key collaborators and close friends and ‘The Holiday’ style shoot of some Digby & Litten country pieces.

MMTD has seen us move from the US home to the UK, bounce between St Tropez, Chelsea & St Andrews, start law school, attain our first pair of Chameau’s (indeed, a landmark occasion) and even switch the majority of our tech from Apple to Nothing after a ten year run.
The blog has ushered in a handful of new series both on here and on the flagship Instagram: The Weekender, Crown & Co and the Bridal Edit to name a few. Editor’s Notes stores our personally generated content pieces, offering a peek into my own life, travels & style alongside our ‘Brit Edit’ and ‘BTS’ story highlights.
September even saw our own small merch offering for fun, the On the Go cap via Etsy, and we’re proud to have forged a delightful partnership with the fabulous Chelsea-based Phillipa Lepley couture, featuring their breathtaking gowns. (Stay tuned for another PL instalment coming soon).

Recently, some new partnerships have led us to some spring favourites, with Jo Sews leading us to a gorgeous custom Bible cover & and the American EllandEmm gifting us a splendid toile barn jacket, which we wear numerous times a week. The jacket is one of our absolute favourite clothing pieces and I get asked about it every time I don it, watch our recent reel styling it here.

Aside from so many fun ventures and side quests, on a personal note, running MMTD thus far has been a true pleasure. It's been a joy to share our vision boards & style snippets, speak with many like-minded individuals and collaborate with some wonderful brands & projects. We're so grateful for all the warm conversations, fun partnerships and kind deliveries here and on the flagship IG.
Whether you’ve joined us from the early days or hopped on the train just last week, your presence and support means so much. We can’t wait for what’s to come and our usual trademark icons - Kate Middleton, Amal Clooney & Jackie O will never be far from our feed. Here’s to two wonderful years together! 🎈
